OMPF Federal (non-archival) record - discharge date of 1961 or after*
These non-archival records are maintained under the Federal Records Center program and are subject to access restrictions. Access is limited to the military veteran or
the next-of-kin (un-remarried widow or widower, son, daughter, father, mother, brother, sister, or grandchild),
or an authorized representative with written permission from the veteran or next-of-kin.
Please note: Records are transferred to the National Archives and become archival 62 years after the service member’s separation from the military. For example, in 2026, records from 1964 and earlier are considered archival.
